Sheep
Our tup was busy in October, and all seemed to go well, so we are expecting a new crop of lambs in the Spring.
We sold some wool at the Jubilee Pool Christmas Fair (Penzance) which once again was thoroughly enjoyable, and we met people from the length and breadth of the country, from the Outer Hebrides to the Isles of Scilly! We still have lots of wool available for purchase, so please visit our Etsy shop if you would like to purchase some.
The weather has become wintry but the sheep have coped well - they are a hardy breed.
Cider
We had a stall in the "Taste of Cornwall" area at the Stithians Show in July, and despite the dreadful weather that day we had a successful day and made some great new contacts.
Sales have been going well and our cider is now available in several new outlets (please refer to list of stockists in the website). At year end we ran out of the Extra Dry Cider, but the new Medium Dry is very popular and our stock levels should see us through until the next batch is ready.
Apple pressing was a great family occasion once again, and the new cider is now undergoing its slow fermentation through the winter.
We had a great time at the Jubilee Pool "Sausage and Cider" Festival, and ran a demo of apple pressing using traditional equipment. Once again, this was a great opportunity to meet people and chat about apples and cider!
Happy New Year to all!
