Sheep

The 29th August is traditionally the end of the farming year, and with that date came a change in the weather! The dry spell was great for holiday makers but not so good for the grass. We now have rain and the grass is growing green again. We had a successful lambing in the Spring with 6 lovely ewe lambs, which have just recently been sold as future breeding ewes. The older ewes were sheared in July with their fleeces going off for wool. We still have wool for sale in our Etsy shop, which will also be available in a new farmer's market soon (watch this space for details!).

Cider

We took two ciders to the Mid Somerset Show (serious cider country!) and were very pleased to be awarded a gold level award and a bronze level award. We are very excited to have just been accepted by the Great Cornish Food Store in Truro as a local supplier.

The orchards are heavily laden with fruit this year, so we are optimistic of a good level of production for the coming season.
